About

Little game about a little frog eating little bugs and protecting their little garden.

The browser version is a bit janky because the mouse control breaks whenever the mouse leaves the frame. Recommend you download the standalone version and play in full-screen.

How to play:

Move the mouse and click the button to drag back the frog's tongue, and then release for it to flick forward and eat bugs. Protect your four flowers for as long as possible!

Play game - mouse

Sounds on/off - X

Aiming reticule on/off - Z (not intended, but use it if you're having trouble aiming)

Notes:

I made this game in Pico-8 after discovering how to read mouse input in Pico-8. The browser version is a bit janky because the mouse control breaks whenever the mouse leaves the frame. Either play in full-screen or download the standalone versions. Couldn't figure out how to make the cursor invisible, sorry. This isn't an issue if you have Pico-8 and load the cart directly, but is an issue for web and standalone.

The mechanics are directly borrowed from the "Pyoro T" minigame included with Warioware Touched on the Nintendo DS.  I loved this little arcade game but it seems to be almost non-existent on Youtube, which is sad. It's real good!
