In From Downtown! you can shoot hoops to rack up points, Either in Free Play, Challenge Mode. 

Free Play:

This mode is simple, Shoot hoops to get better, make small money prizes, get a feel for the new upgrades you have bought and then take on the world in Career Mode. 

But not all upgrades are allowed into Career Mode.

Challenge Mode:

Test your skills to complete challenges to unlock new levels and Earn money for Upgrades.

You have one ball to try and hit the bucket.
