Frontline Crisis
About
While I am a loyal RTS gamer, I feel that the genre’s complexity puts many players off. That's why I've always wanted to create my own grand battlefield in a simplified manner, making it more accessible to potential players and RTS fans. In this stylistic pixel game, players will have access to a variety of buildings that synergize with each other and face an array of twisted insectoids.
This game encourages players to experiment with the variety of buildings while challenging their ability to manage resources and plan in advance. Aside from simply firing at the enemy, players must also plan their walking and building routes wisely if they wish to win. Suffice it to say, this game demands critical thinking and quick reaction times, rather than being a one-and-done experience.
The enemies in the game are roughly divided into three categories: flying, land, and burrowing, with bosses being the core challenge of each level. Bosses are not just larger enemies; they have unique quirks and attack patterns, ensuring that players are always thinking on their feet.
This is not a Roguelike, as endless levels only make up a small portion of the game. Rather, the main focus of the game lies with its campaign. With each level you complete, you unlock more buildings, which opens up more possibilities for builds to combat more formidable foes. Read the in-game database to further understand the enemy and develop your battle tactics.
