Completed SUDOKU 3X3 in DIFFICULT, ALL achievements achieved.
Sequel to the popular Fruit Sudoku that brings (at last) a 3x3 game board instead of the too easy 2x2. It Is basically a game of standard Sudokus that replaces the numbers by fruits and colors, being then the mechanics exactly the same as a classic Sudoku map with numbers. The game includes three levels of difficulty and a pretty good game generator for the simple design, will enchant the Sudoku fans and is a good way to teach children to play sudokus.
Graphics and Technology > > > POOR + 0.5 points In just 59 MB of disk, the simplistic design that is common throughout the FS saga. The same colorful pictograms of the fruits, but adding five more: The Pineapple, the Apple, the Melon, the Orange and the Pomegranate. The developer still does not put introductory screen, directly jumps to the action and has no menus or any type of display that post games or results. As happened in Fruit Sudoku 1, it is unclear what each button does (the arrow changes the game, the Apple serves to choose the difficulty, and the staircase serves to validate a finished level). The Music button is obvious.
History and Levels > > > POOR + 0.5 points The developer has improved the idea by adding selection of difficulty, although the achievements are unlocked with any of them activated. A top-right apple allows you to select between children (green), normal (yellow) or complicated (red) levels. I Appreciate that addition and greatly improves the gaming experience, as for those who like Sudokus clearly the green level would be too easy to complete. However there ends all the ability of the game to offer history or levels of difficulty, so I can only add half a point to the zero that obtained FS1 in the previous valuation.
Music and Sounds > > > POOR + 0.5 points No sound effects but a relaxing piano soundtrack that contrasts with the previous game. I Think the music chosen helps more than the previous one to concentrate, though, the loop is poorly made and leaves an uncomfortable silence that lasts quite a few seconds. Very better.
Control and Gameplay > > > OK! + 1.5 points I am very pleased that the developer has implemented the effect so requested to deploy several times the same fruit consecutively without having to re-select it, was a common complaint in the criticism of FS1 and is a puntazo that has been In mind to improve the sequel. In the rest, the gameplay is traced to the original, with only use of the mouse and those buttons too schematic that help little, but once familiar with the interface meet without problems. I emphasize that I have not found any unfair games or bugs, even in the difficult way, which is also valuable.
Steam Integration > > > OK + 1 points Fruit Sudoku 2 does not have Steam chrome as it did have its prequel, perhaps because of the low number of downloads. However it keeps the little graceful system of five achievements in consecutive games, which can be made heavy to perform if it is not at one time. As for price, I already commented at the time that the collection Fruit Sudoku makes sense as part of the pack that includes the four games, but in fact these should be a single product where you could select the type of Sudoku board with which you want to play. Separating The four games is debatable, and although they are not expensive, it still smells a bit...
FINAL CONCLUSION > > > 4.0 Suspended, NOT recommended The product undoubtedly improves, but it still does not reach the five although it is an almost approved that some teacher would go up by attitude. What is missing from a sudoku game? As There are details: The grid of the Sudoku itself remains unhighlighted correctly (above all pictures minors), the price is high for what the game offers, the buttons remain unclear and can confuse, the sound aspect is not polished... It's Not an approved game yet, it's close, will it get it on Fruit Sudoku 3? That If, if you are very fan of the concept of Sudoku you can play it and offers what it promises, games without more.
