There are only 2 buttons: Flop left and flop right. You can use the arrow keys, mouse buttons, or A and D.
Some notes:
As I had no means to record ocean sounds during the jam, I used freesound.org assets by ralph.whitehead and davidgtr1 just for the ambient background loop. All other assets were created by me. Bot524 helped with the water shader. GobsmackGoose came up with the name idea of "FWOP" (a nice homage to QWOP, an older Bennett Foddy game). I was originally calling it Flappy Fish. When I said "not as effective in water", I meant "not as effective as in water". The subtitle was correct but I said the line wrong because I was tired. I only worked on this game for the final 2 days of the jam. I regret how many fish puns I failed to add due to time constraints. Also, the voice line about having 3 different routes wasn't supposed to trigger until you were further to the right. I didn't notice the trigger had gotten scaled somehow. :(
Tools used: Godot Engine, blender, Reaper, Pianoteq.
Unfortunately the fullscreen option doesn't work properly with the Godot engine, so you may want to download the native executable if you have a high resolution monitor. Also, the sound is significantly delayed in the web version, and it may not be as responsive as the native builds in general. Builds for Linux and Windows are available for download.
