GRAVE DANGER

"My owner gives the best belly rubs, but she isn't very clever. Taking a shortcut across a graveyard on Halloween? It was always going to end badly... Now we're being chased by vengeful ghosts and I have to show why cat dragons are the bravest pets in the world. Little Flame to the rescue!"

In Grave Danger you take control of the fire spitting cat dragon Little Flame. Your task is to protect your owner from danger in an endless top scroller where a high score measures success.

Our aim was to combine the stress of Temple Run with the connection people feel to the character Spyro. We intended for the game to have a flexible age group span - just like Spyro and Temple Run - but the main focus is players aged 11-15 who are looking for a fast-paced and quick experience. We had a vision of friends taking turns playing it and trying to beat each other's high scores.

We initially planned for more game features but for many of us it was the first time making a game. We decided to scale down to leave enough space for learning, something that resulted in a game that feels polished and finished
