That's one of the most boring "strategy" Build-up games I've been allowed to play so far.
-Small Maps-Max 4 Players-No Strategy-Bad AI-Hardly Technologies-Super Fast Battles The Maps look quite ok, but are all very small. There is no Room for Strategy. The Only Tactic is mass production and Attack. Half of the Maps are even only designed for 1vs1. All "Technologies" are available from the Very beginning. You just have to build a few Buildings and then you have all the Units.
Almost all the Battles were almost over before my Base felt somehow "finished." So all The Refineries occupied, enough Silos, Factories with all the Options. If I can start mass production .. The opponent team is usually already half dead.
None of my Battles Have lasted more than 30 Minutes so far. From C & C or SC I am Used to battles that could easily last 1-2 Hours or longer.
You can only explore 4 Technologies. Add to 4 Units to upgrade/change. Anti-air can suddenly also shoot at the Ground or Cannon can then also shoot like Artillery.
The AI has always been either weak or comes very early with Superiority because Of cheater settings. Team AI hardly ever helps when attacked.
The line construction in the People is completely useless and blocks a lot of Space. An Attack on the Lines and half The base is without Power. No Military would use or develop anything close to comparable.
The Epic units are worse than any super weapon in most other Games.
The Performance has been quite ok so far .. However, in 2 Battles I had fierce Rucklers at the unit cap and once gabs a CTD.
My Conclusion: The Game only makes for fast multiplayer action. Basic construction is only minimalist. Long-lasting Battles with strategic Approach, etc., are searched here in vain.
The Game is just boring. Unfortunately, I missed the Refund timing when Trying Out the Campaign ..

After SC2 Again a solid RTS game with deficiencies in Multiplayer.
Due to its now 4 Factions that can be played really very differently, Grey Goo after Starcraft 2 is-for me-the best classic RTS Game that has been released "recently."
I can't say much about the Campaign, so far I've only played the first 4 Missions. Unfortunately, the Missions are not as complex as in Starcraft 2. You get a Main Goal and 1-2 Bonus Goals. Destroy the Base, or protect that until time is around (as I said, not really much Campaign played yet). The Story is quite nice, as are the Cutscenes that these Stories.
The Game is gameplay really much designed for multiplayer/online games. The Control is entry-level and there is a manageable Number of units (4x Light, 4x gravity, 4x Air and 1 Epic Unit) or Buildings that can also be improved with Techupgrades. The Maps are all very compact.
The Mutliplayer is unfortunately the weaker part-not from the Gameplay, or the Game Discovery-but because there are simply too few Players who play This Game online. I had to play 4 of my 6 online Patches (which were only found at 1vs1 Ranked) against the 1st ranked ranking (he was nice and gave me lots of tips), which of course I lost. At 2 of the games I found other Players and ended up ranked 93 in the Gold League.
In The Ranking and Matchsuche/discovery, Grey Goo has looked down some of Starcraft 2, which is good.
It is also nice that all contested games (including those of the other Grey Goo Players) are displayed in a Window and you can download and watch the Replays there-you can also see the Placements of the individual Players there.
Multiplayer Maps are not very many and the Matches are limited to: 1vs1, 2vs2 or 1vs1vs1vs1 (each versus Everyone). However, I only found my 6 games at the 1vs1 Leaderboard Game. You can also open your Own lobby for online or LAN games, as I said, you can only not find any Players for it. Thanks to The Steamworkshop and the Mapeditor You have included, you can download created Maps.
I didn't think about Starcraft 2 for Nothing in this game-it looked off a lot and implemented well, wouldn't there be the Really very low number of Players.
