Put life into your work, not otherwise.
When they made games, they push it till 'not possible with the hardware'.

This Review is not complete. Missing are some Things like ' Control, References to other Games, the actual Gameplay of what makes it up etc. This may be added over time as more Time is available. One Day I decided to escape the eternal stress of Competitive Games and finally dig out some old Pearls and get them. Among Them was ' Grim Fandango ' after which I saw it for the first time with the Rocket Beans. I showed it to my Girlfriend and this one has already fallen in love with this Game in the first Seconds of the Trailer and done it straight into the Cart. Bought, downloaded. A Week later, we finally tackled it, a Journey into the World of the Undead. We can already really control our Main Protagonist ' Manny Calavera '. But who is this ' Manny '? Well, he has been one of the People who did not do enough good Deeds in their first Lives and now have to earn their Journey into the ' Realm of Eternal Calm ' with, more or less, hard Work. The Good Lord does this at the Department of Death short DOD. There, the Employees must serve as Travel Consultants and sell the newly deceased Tickets, which will bring them into the Realm of The Eternal Calm. But in order to procure customers in the First place they must return to the realm of the Living, there they open a cocone-like mass with their in-house Scythe, in which the Soul of one, now, dead Man is located and accompany them into the Realm of the Dead. But something is wrong. Manny'S Colleague ' Domino Hurley ' is the only one to buy the most expensive Tickets, no matter which Customer he gets. Whereas one Day our good Friend Manny used a few Tricks to get one of Domino's Clients. But what? Although the good Woman ' Meche ' has an excellent CV, according to the Computer she is not entitled to get the highest Class ticket in order not to take four Years to "Paradise," but only just under four Minutes. He tries to get this Secret on the Making, getting into a Story full of secret Underground Movements, mothballed Carts, Betrayals and also some Love grief. The Atmosphere was, to my opinion, a very large Cinema. The grotesque World in which the Plot plays out is inspired by Kafka, Film Noir and the Aztec death Cult. To this, the Soundtrack is a very great supporting Element, every Act, every Area has been put through something special and Has a perfect effect on the given situation and environment. The whole thing was not destroyed even by the German Synchronization, on the Contrary. I even thought the Cast was really good! At least the speaker of Mr Calavera should always be recognized. To whom she says nothing, it is Thomy Piper who also spoke Alf. Achja, in some Reviews I have read that these Found the new Textures more than shabby and not really Distinguishing themselves from the original. That's true, but it didn't bother me in any Way when playing. What can I say, it just fit into the Game. There is one more Thing I would like to mention at the End. The Level Of Difficulty. He's high in Part. Really high, if not almost illogical. We had to look into the Complete Solution a few Times because in some Tasks we just sat in front of it with a Shake of our heads and it just didn't occur to us As the Puzzle solution might be. All in all, however, it is one of the most wonderful Games of all Time, despite its somewhat outdated Graphics and some Buggs which can cause the Game to Crash you have 10 + Hours of Fun with the Complete Work.

This time of downloading hell; I hope the game is worth the effort. -EDIT: the game is complete and compatible with the iPad Air 8 Retina (and higher versions). I'm not stuck in the game. It's like playing on a PC, you have to follow the right dialogues. No bugs found on iOS (eg I am already arrived at the Edge of the World faster than on the PC) very small bmol: two / three lines of dialogue are not said but are still transcribed in the subtitle (at the moment of the arrest of Terry for example) then passed the gameplay is intuitive AND THERE ARE NO PURCHASES INTGRS YOOHOO  Death is among you ah nan, has it in Overwatch: 3

Wonderful Grim Fandango, should be played together with Monkey Island in schools. Poetic as a novel and as compelling as a film, this title is one of those demonstrations that the video game should definitely be cleared as a separate art form. Diving in GF means literally entering an interactive noir fable, enhanced by graphics and music worthy of a cartoon. The enigmas are of a high standard, very high in certain situations, always keeping the logic alive under the thick layer of dementia (only in very rare cases I found them an abstruse, perhaps also because of the Italian translation that cannot always make the implications obvious of the original language). The characters are so characterized that you risk becoming attached to Manny and Glottis as to Dylan Dog and Groucho just to make comparisons with another undervalued art, that of comics, plus the voices dubbed in the game are really excellent. The Remastered version definitively delivers this masterpiece to the annals, does not bring much respect to the original, unfortunately released at the sunset of the golden era of graphic adventures, but enough to make it almost "eternal", graphics (practically unaltered) rendered in HD and simplified interface that makes the game even more accessible. Moreover, of course, this version can be played on mobile devices, so everywhere, and for an adventure that keeps a benefit glued for many hours, especially for old players like me who can't spend evenings glued to a computer. If you have never played it, do it, if you played it in its time, replay it and make it known to the younger ones: they could thank you. (Played on iPad Air)
