It's in a broken state right now, as we had some difficulties with Godot's file management system that didn't become apparent until export time 'Test your exports before the last twenty minutes' - lesson learned!
We had originally intended RIVAL MAN to have his own button, so that you could fight him at any level and play through any number of encounters you wanted. Also, you should be gaining levels that would make your ship bigger, but with the broken playerdata exporting that doesn't work.
We'll try to update it in the coming week or so, so check back again if you're interested in the concept! I think the gameplay gets really fun at later levels.
