I Still remember that year 2014, in which the trailers of E3 let glimpse the magnificent revival that was going to have this saga of cult after so many years in oblivion... Although Joy was followed by bitter news: it was to be exclusive to Sony's consoles. It's been a while since You arrived at steam. And It is now when I realize the draught that was the decision taken by ARC System Works, when performing this port in a period in which Japanese studies were not betting on the PC. It Is for that reason that I consider Guilty Gear Xrd as one of those games that mark time. Not only is it a work that honors the fighting of the 90 in every detail imaginable, but was a statement of intent by a Japanese study that, against all odds, took a step forward and we present one of the best fighting games is Ta generation. 10/10.

First I have to be clear, I am a fan of this genre of games since childhood, but I have not been very aware of sagas like this or for example Blazblue, so I could not tell you that differences between the two and things like that. Even So, this game seems essential if you are a fan of 2D wrestling games, both for its gameplay, soundtrack and graphic style, is that the latter is not the most important, but the use of 3D making it look like anime is wonderful. As for gameplay, is a game based on practicing combos and practice even more, if you're used to these games will not cost you so much, but if you're new I assure you that at some point you will see pounding buttons like a madman trying to make combos. And The soundtrack is WONDERFUL, you can't say anything else about it. If I had to give a note to this game would be a 9/10 within this genre.

This game is great and the netcode is good but the online still need major improvement and a quick patch to make everything perfect. First the region locked on the online makes absolutely no sense and for a lot of people is hard to find online lobby and for others they find matches pretty quickly and easily. Then ARCSYS need to fix all the small online beugs that makes almost impossible to connect to a ranked match, and fix all the issues people report on the regular player lobby (disconection, player being randomly kicked from the lobby, freeze when players wanna press ready button and countless other issues on endless lobby). Need serious improvements on sticks and controllers compatibility. My PS3 Stick works just fine but my Xbox36 stick doenst work at all. So Versus matches with my friends at home, i just forget about it which is a shame. Last but not least, please make the game support 5.1 speakers so we can fully enjoy the awesome music and japanese voice ARCSYS had made for us in this Xrd version.
