Haunted reviews

Haunted left me with mixed Feelings. First of All, there is a refreshing Scenario and the interesting Story that entertained me very well. At the same time, the Game hasn't aged well at all. The no longer dewy Graphics would be one, but the completely silly animations (exaggerated and wooden) and the sometimes only mediocre functioning hotspot system are Problems of a much more fundamental Nature. That takes a lot of Atmosphere. For me, the Epilogue has made a lot worse for me. If the Game had finished with the End Credits, ok that would have been very meagre. But still better than this Epilogue, which ultimately raises x Questions again without any Trace of Resolution. That has rather tarnished the Overall Impression. Yet despite these Weaknesses, Haunted remains an all-all positive Experience. The humour and interesting Figures (especially the ghosts), as well as the Good and all logical Puzzles, ultimately ensure this. And especially the Mechanics with the special Ghost Skills are very successful and exciting implemented. Verdict: Anyone who likes humorous Adventures and can look past graphic Flaws is likely to be a good Choice for the Haunted. Two more Notes: 1. I played with the excellent German Voice Actors. Instructions on how to do this can be found in the Discussion Forum. 2. This was the first Game that didn't work properly with the Steam Link (regular Total crashes). Right on the PC, though, I didn't have any more such Problems.
