Hegemony 3 is, to anticipate, a basically nice Game with some annoying Problems. Before we move on to the actual Review, first of all, some Strengths and Weaknesses that come to mind spontaneously.
The Strengths:-Half-realistic Unit Supply System + Logistics + resulting Problems-Epic dimensions (Very large Card to Let off steam), proper Faction selection-Different cultures with Partly own Unit types and associated associated Tactics-Units Level System with Individual Skills-Empire Alignment Thanks to Skill Tree The Weaknesses:-Hakaky Wayfinding and questionable Units AI-No Trade & Politics System-Only rudimentary Diplomacy Options-More Generic Quests & Tasks- Available Only in English Version A more detailed Review, which will make the Game much fairer, You can find on my Blog: http://freelancers-gameblog.blogspot.de/2015/11/hegemony-3-clash-of-ancients-review.html If you want to save yourself the Text, you can also Check into my current Let's Play and get a Picture of the Game for yourself.

The Terrain of the Map with many unmanable Places, such as Forests & Hills, cannot lead to a mager-/epic Slaughter. Unfortunately, the theoretically well-thought-out formation System of the Armies hardly comes into its own because of the Lack Of space and rather disturbs if you have to maneuver your way through Bottlenecks.
Personally, I am a big Fan of Trading on EU IV and Consorts, which is why it particularly pains me that it does not exist at Hegemony 3. The Lack of Diplomacy is also a major Shortcoming, presumably due to limited AI capabilities.
Nevertheless, Hegemony 3 can motivate and is highly recommended for Fans of the Ancient scenario, who are looking for variety from Total War and can cope with a little more Complexity. Even if the Game doesn't quite reach the Grand Strategy Titles of Paradox. After all, they set the Benchmark very high. However, Longbow Games has created a solid Title that has already been improved by Patches that have introduced other urgently needed zoom Levels, for example.
The Game also features a Steam workshop including modding guides and the first small Extensions, which would Certainly flourish at a larger Fanbase. So Far, however, the Game remains more of an Insider's tip, which could get even better with some Work by the Developers.
