Herbtales (Playdate)

Herbtales 

is a role playing game demo about herb picking and meeting mythical creatures in an oriental setting. You play as Mei, a bright child who has to carry out errands for her grandfather, as his herbal ingredients keep going missing.

Created for PlayJam using Pulp.

HOW TO PLAY:

Your task is to get the herbs that are on the errands list. If the herbs are not present currently, you can start a new day by talking to the grandfather, and new plants will grow.

CONTROLS:

Left and Right D-Pad for movement.

Up D-Pad to pick up things.

Button B to open the errand list.

Button A to open inventory

Use the Crank to orient the cursor on inventory.

Button B on inventory to throw an item.

NOTE:

The game is not tested in a hardware, the current version may not be optimized.

DOWNLOAD & INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS:

For Playdate Software:

1. Download and Install the Playdate SDK / Simulator.

2. Download the game and extract zipped folder.

3. Run the Playdate Simulator.

4. Ctrl + O and locate the extracted folder.
