HIVESWAP: Act 1 reviews

If you also loved the adventures of thumb-thumb, Sam Pyjam and the first King's quest, then you will be served... That was a moment that I had not so much hooked to a point and click! Not from the monkey's Island at least, or the Knights of Baphomet series! Well, here's a worthy heir to the genre. The story is original and captivating, and especially the designs are superb! Each piece of each "chapter" is designed with care, it is a real pleasure to see the characters evolve in this universe. I already have a weakness for 2D animation in General, but there also the quality exceeds my expectations! Hiveswap brings together absolutely all the criteria that I think make a good adventure game:-an original and interesting story (it's not always a pair)-varied characters and all also charismatic-a refreshing character design (simple and efficient)-stunning scenery (with a real artistic touch)-a band that meets previous criteria-humor! A great surprise, I look forward to being able to play as a result! 10/10

Let's be clear, the game is not lame as such, but I can not recommend it to the general public in this State. I find it far too expensive for its content, the game is indeed very short and does not establish much in the end. He is particularly interested in the fans of Homestuck, who will find themselves in the angels since the soul of the comic is present to the foundations of the game, up to the funny jokes that make up 99% of the comic jokes. Go ahead if you're already a fan. Otherwise, you may find out before you start. I do not appreciate the episodic format to the telltale that adopts this game. Not that I hate episodic formats: the mass effect being a very good example of this format being successful, because each episode is enough to itself, unlike Hiveswap which, he, can ultimately be judged only by his sequel. We will have to wait for the continuation to see if Act 1 is recommendable or not, and that is a pity. Graphically, the game is sublime and has its own paw drawn from the best of Homestuck, and shows Hussie and co. at their best. The music goes from the fordable to the good, but it is far from what Homestuck has been able to offer better. However I cannot judge the whole OST with Act 1 since it is incomplete, and we will surely have the right to a new hearing slap in the Savior of the waking world. It is really frustrating to be able to judge Hiveswap only through the reduced vision of the small Keyhole that is Act 1. In short, to buy at your peril.
