Dig deep underground by shooting balls and breaking blocks, traversing your way to the planet cores. With limited shots per round and some blocks fixed firmly to the wall, thoughtfully strategize and aim for maximum impact. Knock down as many blocks as possible while collecting crystals for upgrades and getting deeper beneath the surface.

Choose your ideal upgrades such as more starting balls, more shots per round, or storing more crystals, based on your play style and overall strategy. Work your way into the procedurally generated planets with a delightful spectacle of bouncing as you get closer to the planet’s core.

holedown reviews and comments

The game is so juicy! Would have given it 5 stars if the game didnt reset my progress two times just after reaching the black hole. Getting a little sick of repeating the grind to endless mode by now.

I thought there would be longer time games in it, and had expected more planets to dig on. A big plus for there is no in-app purchases in the game. It is an invention from hell, but the price is in the high end IFT. The size of the Game.

This game is amazing. Is the natural evolution of the classic ball breakers. Very addictive and interesting. But it is to short for the price. I think this game needs more. A bigger map with different types of planets and maybe in game power ups.

Bouncing balls against blocks untill they break, that's practically the entire game. But O my how satisfying it is to get the balls bouncing like crazy and breaking seamingly unbreakable blocks. The sound effects, music, everything is just right. Amazing game and well worth the money

It is a nice little game, the kind you pick up for a 10mn session. The progression is fun... until you just launch it one day and realise it has been reset entirely without warning. Back to zero. So instead of enjoying that little game, you post a bad review to warn other people about the bug. And then you shake your head and delete the little game because you don’t feel like redoing it all from scratch. Poor UX, pity, hope the devs fix it. I'm so sorry! This save wiping bug required a very specific sequence of unlucky events to line up, but I did find it and fix it in the latest update. Again, I'm very sorry!

The Game itself is great, polished graphics and Sounds, everything works as it should and the addiction factor is high (... Just one More shot ...). BUT unfortunately, you saw everything very quickly. I played exactly 2 Evenings a bit, and that was enough to crack all 5 Levels and get all the Upgrades. What remains now is an endless mode in which there is nothing left to create except to surpass your own High Score. I was absolutely thrilled at the Beginning, but sooo quickly to have seen everything disappoints me now after all, and feels very expensive. For this Price, I hope that the content will be expanded into Updates: Blocks with special Features, special Projectiles or other challenges
I recommend reading this Polygon article about the game: https://www.polygon.com/2018/8/16/17688840/holedown-ios-android-brick-breaker-grapefrukt-games

And i think Asher Vollmer (Threes creator) is spot on: "I have very high standards for mobile games. There is a very specific amount of attention that phone games should ask of you... and holedown is the best example I've seen of it in years. The perfect balance between toy and game."
