How to Survive 2 reviews

I bought the Game a few Weeks before Release and played it exclusively locally and in the Coop with a Friend. I would Describe The technical Substructure as Expedient but atmospheric. The Graphic is certainly not a Revelation now, but underlines the Survival aspect. The Sound Effects are mostly coherent and the Music is suitable. The Only Outlier down here is the Sound of the Heartbeat At low Life energy-after a short Time this is just terribly annoying, especially if-as since Release-it is a Permanent State, but more on that. After initial rapid Progress, the Pace Of Progression is rapidly decreasing. Experience points for Leveling are always plentiful in the Coop, because depending on the Degree Of difficulty with which a Mission is started, the Reward in EP also fails. Allings, regardless of the Level of difficulty, is always the same Loott in the Levels, so after a short Time you have to play some levels again and again in order to have sufficient Resources for further Progress. And here we come directly to three big Basic Problems of the Game: 1. There is simply Too little Loot in the Levels overall, so that exploring is not fun and quickly no longer Fun. In addition, it damages the Atmosphere that the Items are not logically distributed. Kleinie's Example: For example, in a Kitchen you often find Bricks, rope or Lead Balls, but rarely food or Drinks, which then lie around in a parking Lot. 2. Balancing Is terribly mies in The Coop. While the Difficulty of the Missions is not too high even at high Levels, the Loot becomes a real Problem. You will find far too little Food to provide for two Players permanently. In the EA version, this was annoying, but the Effects were manageable, as only Mali was given On the Force (with too little Food) or Time to Target (too little Liquid). Since the Release you find on the one hand even less Food and on the other hand you starve-the Life Bar quickly falls back to a very small Value, Bindings etc do not help. If you want a Mission with Food as Loot grinden, you go on it all the time because you just don't recover-in the End You have used more Resources than you gained and you can't make any more progress. Even if you are driven by a Fellow Player (where a small Amount of HP is won), the Life Bar falls directly again because of Hunger. This Mechanic is just incredibly frustrating and ultimately took away all The Fun. The terribly annoying Heartbeat sound does its rest when you have to endure it for Hours ... 3. Each Mission is basically the same: Find Person X, Find Xmal Items Y and Z, Kill So and so many Zombies. In the End, you just walk through The entire Level in search of Loot, kill all the Monsters that run over your Path and fulfill the Quests on the side. Motivation is different! There are a few other points to these really serious Problems, such as Bugs and miserable Inventory Management-the Game feeling is Clunky overall. Z.b did not Open a Door in one of the early Missions despite Keys, so the Mission could not be completed. It was only after a Reboot that it was able to continue. The Inventory should be adjusted as far as possible with a control with a Controller. It's just terribly awkward To place items individually in the Chest by Drag & Drop. (if you don't want to put everything down at once) To make matters Worse, each time (even when Exchanging with the Player) the Number of Items has to Be manually determined by Moving a Bar-very uncomfortable by Analog stick. Overall, I simply cannot recommend How to Survive 2 in the current State. That there are still such serious Scwines in the Game Mechanics after a long initial accessory phase is a Cheekiness. Thumbs down-don't buy!
