About

Many years ago an artifact was found in one of the mines near the small town of Howlville. The government asked scientists to examine it. Dr. Joseph was one of those scientists. Strange events began to happen in the underground lab, and something went wrong, causing a strong earthquake. The experiment was halted and classified, while the territory of the town was closed. Nobody knew what had happened to Joseph, and he was listed as a missing person. Fifteen years later his daughter Rachel is on the verge of solving the mystery, but somebody is doing everything possible to keep her from succeeding. Rachel is institutionalized in a secret mental hospital. She starts having horrible nightmares in which her father is pleading for her help and talking about a looming catastrophe. She manages to escape. Fleeing from the police, she reaches Howlville.

Howlville: The Dark Past reviews and comments

Translated by
Microsoft from Russian
While Artifiex Mundi is changing pricing policy and releasing mediocre projects at a furious price, new games are starting to emerge in Steam. One of them is Howlville: The Dark Past. Howlville: The Dark Past is not quite a newcomer to the battlefield of Hidden Object games. The Game has been out for a long time, in 2012, but only recently began to conquer something other than the site Bigfishgames. The Game since that time had ambiguous ratings, so I decided to check the project. The Plot of Course, the story-it's almost the most important. But many of the "old men" genre they very much neglected. There he is, some, but there is. In This game you will find a story about a girl who wanted very much for her father. But when trying to get into the closed area of Hovlville she is taken to a psychiatric hospital. And quite unexpectedly she escapes from this hospital on a service car, she is not sent to anyone, and she achieves her-falls into this unfortunate zone. The Whole game we are trying to convey something about what happened many years ago, to enter the main negative character through dialogues, which looks nondescript and is not perceived as someone who can destroy the main character. The Plot begins to seem like a burden, which is not necessary at all. And Then there are some other not co-docking... In General, the plot is weak and is clicked as much as possible. The Screenwriter tried, but did not succeed. But I will say so-I did not expect such a finale. Such a boring finale, where we are not even trying to prevent something. No one prevented Us at all. The Whole game. The Gameplay Here is all that inherent "Hidden Obj'am": Search for items, puzzles, puzzles. Scenes with the search for items there is really a lot-action-look for objects, action-look for objects, action-look for items and pass the puzzle, which stuck in the scene of the search for items. Look for items you will have a lot. The Scenes are not very complicated, but there are some difficult moments. Puzzle and puzzles are also easy, some difficulty in them. But I would like to stick to the description of some puzzles, which does not describe the meaning of the puzzle. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1388792610 the Rest is well here, the graphics for 2012 even almost perfect. Everything looks good, liked the animation, in some new games of the genre do not do such, there are cut scenes, which, unfortunately, were short and nondescript. But in general, it turned out quite well. Music is also not bad, there is an English voice in the replicas of the heroine, the father of the heroine and the main "enemy" heroine. The Result of This game can be considered a good, pleasant game of the genre in which you can play, pass and forget. About 2 hours of gameplay and you have the perfect game. As a lover of the genre, passed a lot of games, this game did not impress anyone, except "Well, played." The Game will not become something great, but as a substitute AM-(because of the price) and BigFishGames-(because of the lack of Russian language) is perfect. Howlville: The Dark Past was passed for the evening, and for this evening I have not purchased anything, and have not lost anything. I don't regret the time spent. Recommend? Well, only if you've been through almost everything. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1388792800 Review was prepared by the chief curator of the NMW'S Giveaways and curator of online Reviews [store.steampowered.com].
