What was not my surprise when I saw the first time the page of the game on steam! Indeed the visuals titillated my nostalgic fiber as they resembled a game of Nintendo 64 that I had loved as a kid: EXTREM G! A kind of Wipeout before the hour with futuristic motorcycles lined with rockets at other joyeusetés.
Here, the "motorcycles" lanky with the futuristic and aggressive look were almost the same and certainly, the game adopted a cell-shading style compared to the old 3D drool of this good old console but I really found myself there!
There where my heart has totally vascillé is when I saw all these beautiful images animate. Whoaaah!! Hyperun is fast. Very quickly. Very quickly, really. It's very fast.
Hyperrun goes so fast that it does not even tangle with controls common to other games of the type!
In Hyperun (and not hyper run ^^) actually, no direction to give with the joystick of his joystick to rotate his vehicle, just Ninja reflexes by pressing the left or right rear trigger, only keys making "rotate" the bike. And when I say turn it is a gentle euphemism. If you watched the trailer you will soon understand that everything is extreme in Hyperun to start with its turns that are all right angle. Your bike will rotate extremely quickly at 90 ° when you press your trigger. It is extremely destabilizing at first, it takes some time to adapt. Another particularity, the game has a solid scoring system that relies on figures of type "Skate" (360, double flip etc...) but to achieve at 300 km/h by taking a bend at right angles it gets complicated immediately!
I like it Hyperun, the principle is simple and addictive, the game does not really end and you will have to survive as long as possible on the track before you eat in the mouth one of the many obstacles that will stop you the road or more commonly ( 90% of the time) an ill-negotiated turn.
OK the game is clean, some will say ostère, both at the graphical level and at the level of the content: indeed you will see only one and the same track throughout the game. But it never tires! Because the circuit is in reality a random assembling of pre-calculated sections. You will then see known sections and an apprenticeship in the blood and tears of the various stretches is required if you want to perform in the leaderboard or reach the sacrosanct 100%.
Add a personalization system of your two wheels and you get my faith a very nice little game.
The sensations are exhilarating and if you are looking for the challenge you are at the right door!
(To our friends epileptic: flee!)
