Idol Quest VR is a single-player exploration-adventure shooter with a simple premise: Discover the lost idol. To do so you will need to solve puzzles and avoid or defend yourself against dangerous wildlife and other perils in large, open environments. Both natural (arm-swing plus head-bob) and artificial locomotion play styles are supported, and you are free to run, swim, and climb as you please. You are supplied with a knife, a backpack (for storing various pickupables), a pistol, 61 rounds of pistol ammo, a pump-action shotgun, and 18 rounds of shotgun ammo; all weapons handling is detailed and takes full advantage of vr motion controllers. Each level has its secrets, including four randomly placed crystals. Will you discover them all? Will you survive to find the idol?

Idol Quest VR reviews and comments

Idol Quest VR-idols are not the same today. Attention: The game is only for the owners of VR kits, without them there will not do anything. If the first part of Tomb Raider made one single dude without a penny of money, as the first project, in VR and without a Larrochki, it would be this very game. Plus here in quite good mechanics of walking, running and other things. Well and the levels are somewhat reminiscent of the first Tomb Raider. Minus-everything else. The Graphics are outdated. Enemies-All these tricertops and other Stegosaurus, look and animated can not be miserable. And the shooting of all this living creatures, and the passage of traps is very boring. As a result: well such. Recommend to abstain.

Idol (L.-Rus. Idolh, Grech. Éidōlon) — Idol, Phantom, the subject of blind worship. In a figurative sense, the word idol is used to denote the relative and limited ideas and principles that are mistakenly attached to absolute meaning. It is connected With that conditional sense in which the term idol is used F. Beconom Verulamsky for the designation of various kinds of prejudices and irrational inclinations which hinder true cognition (lat. Idola tribus, Idola Specus, Idola fori, Idola Theatri). In Ancient Russia-a Blockhead (Istukan). Etymology of the Word borrowed from the old Slavic language, which, in turn, got out of the Greek language. The Greek Eidōlon (Grech. είδωλο) originally meant "image", then "the image to be worshipped" [2]. In particular, "Idol" (Tserk.-Slav. Idѡly) is mentioned in Slavic translations of the Bible (Gen. 31:34) The Word Idol also has etymological links with the word Eidos (Eidos, Idea).

I'm a bit bit bit bit divided at the Game. It spreads an immensely Tomb Raider 1 Charm and I mean TR The Original With blocky graphics. It has something to explore these Ruins and search for Treasures. First of all, the Price of €3€ and the Screenshots make you thoughtful, because that can't be anything. Still, I really had fun with the Title and can only recommend it for the Price. It doesn't reinvent the Wheel and it's also really just for someone who likes such old Titles as Tomb Raider. Furthermore, the Opponent placement Is suboptimal And in places simply unfair, which can cloud the Fun of the Game. There is also something left to do in a performance-like way, because there are extreme Framed-rops in some Areas, although it is an "ugly Duckling." Framedrops come from the Water Settings. On a low Setting, the whole thing should no longer occur. edit: It looks like the Performance is related to the Water. Screw Down water Quality and it should go well again. Thanks for the Hint @Dev;)
