In the Air (SketchDog)

In the Air is a story driven game that follows someone who has recently returned to his childhood town after moving away for work some years ago. Upon his return he develops a heightened sense of the thoughts and feelings of others around him which play out in a dramatic and emotional fashion while coming to terms with his own.

Everything in the game including the scenes, setting, characters, battle events and naming of people and things in the game were carefully chosen to fit towards the theme and overall narrative of the game to strengthen the coherence of the overarching plot.

The game is about 4 hours long and is mainly focused on telling a story but also includes decent challenges in the form of battles and puzzles you solve as you progress through the game.
