About

In the Darkness of the Sea is a short 2D-narrative game set in the middle of the ocean at night.

A boy wakes up in a lifeboat, lost at sea. What he'll see, he will never forget.

As its boat is carried away by the current, he'll have to avoid the sea creatures and brave a powerful storm.

Inspired by The Old Man and the Sea, Life of Pi and Raymond Bishop's illustrations of Moby Dick.

Thank you for this moment of poetry:) This game is extremely simple to play, allowing you to focus on the monochromatic beauty of the graphics as well as the music. The story is touching and the atmosphere very soothing, so I highly recommend it because if you do not mind to have almost no pressing keys to be able to immerse yourself in the sound and Visual atmosphere, you will spend a very good quarter hour:D I'm looking forward to the future games of Olivier LeClair! ^^

IN THE DARKNESS OF THE SEA little game, as cool visually as................. VERY short. I finished the game in 10mn, which is a pity because the atmosphere of the game is really nice and will deserve a much longer life duration. I recommend this game. = = > Ideal for those who want to make a little game quickly done in the evenings on weekdays before bedtime. http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1152461865 http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1152461653 http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1152461281

The Game is mesmerizing with music! Just tell me the name and I'll listen to it for weeks! As for me a good drawing and even a flair, but there is a nice stylization. On the water in the Menyuchke there are reflexes of light from the moon! But I played it for about 8 minutes, and it was more than enough for me. For the play is simply nothing. Yes, the music is mesmerizing, and the sounds of whales cause something there, but the painting is beautiful. But the plot and the Gemplya as such is not. Dodge the fish and whales, and after the screenshots swim to the end of the screen, well somehow... I Hope it comes out of this, and interesting. But to tell the truth, it was not necessary to let out the greenlaite like this, for it is just something unfinished that it would be worth to finish.

In The darkness of the sea-short, minutes for 5-7 passing, Arthausnaya game. Mechanics is simple-speeding up and slowing down the boat, as well as bending in the event of danger, we in the first part of the game dodge the collision with the Rybinami. In the second part we balance on storm waves. But the essence of the game is not in mechanics and not even in the plot. But rather in a somewhat gloomy and mysterious atmosphere of the dark ocean in which the strange and mysterious silhouettes flashed. As stated in the annotation, this game resembles the main motives of Hemingway's "Old Man and The Sea", only without text, but with an atmosphere of struggle with the majestic elements. The Picture in the game is black and white and quite interesting. Music (especially during a storm) is a good idea to create an epic atmosphere. As a result: I can only recommend to fans of small artkhali indie games. The Game is interesting, but clearly calculated more on connoisseurs of game experiments, rather than on ordinary players. 6 whales out of 10 minutes by the sea.
