In the Shadow of the Estuary

In The Shadow of the Estuary, you play as Conradere Tristis: a lonely, 48-year-old librarian living in an abandoned school of magic, deep in the woods. Despite having studied transmutation magic for most of his life, Conrad's never been able to cast a single spell, due to him being a human without a pact.

Conrad has lived alone for the last ten years, dutifully maintaining the archives that his peers and colleagues left behind. Then, one night, he finds that he's alone no longer; a voice enters his mind, claiming to be the ghost of someone named Iniharit. At first, Conrad's wary about being possessed by a ghost--until he learns that it allows him to finally use magic, for the first time in his life.

The dead are rising, and Conrad has to find a way to survive. Will Iniharit help him? Or does this ghost have other goals in mind?
