Inexistence reviews

Do you like Metroidvania? You will undoubtedly love inexistence. The game puts us in the skin of hald, in his quest to deliver his big sister from an eternal sleep inflicted by the evil Claos. Then we have to pick up the big villain in his Castle, browsing various landscapes of the island where our hero lives. Many enemies and bosses in the program! Overall, the game is pretty, and the animations are a good Bill. Hald is in control without worries, and the improvement of its characteristics via a system of XP and objects to equip (such as Castlevania from SOTN) allows to feel a good rise in power. At the level of exploration, chests containing parts and objects are hidden in the levels, as well as 7 pieces of puzzle for those loving exploration. A very good point to the music of the game, worthy of the best 2D Castlevania! The only real flaw in the game is its relatively short lifetime in normal mode, but adding the hard mode and new modes planned by the developer should reinforce this aspect of the game without worries. At the time of writing this review, I finished the game only in normal mode with 8 successes out of 10 (I miss "finish in difficult" and "finish the game in less than an hour"), I will probably publish in the future to judge the novelties made. (The developer fixes the bugs reported by the players fairly quickly. If you are having trouble, do not hesitate to share it!)

The €5.99 are already profitable only in view of the artistic work, the backgrounds are superb and the animations good just what it takes, I will just note a downside regarding the lack of feedback of the data/received blows, nothing very nasty but it would have deserved some extra sprites/sound effects. Music is also a good Bill! From a level design viewpoint one recognizes the labirhyntic exploration at the CastleVania/Metroid but this aspect does not seem to have been pushed to the end, the game being divided into several areas (relatively short, except the last one which is frankly successful) and breaks a bit the urge to backtracking the player (yet mandatory to finish the game and even more to 100%). The arrival of a patch to enhance the difficulty of the game on February 21st 2016 (i.e. tomorrow at the time I write these lines) will be welcome because the game is in nothing "complicated", even less if you put all your experience points in the attack. Some nice buys that one that will ask you to SpeedRunner the game are present and it's fun. The lifespan is decent considering the price of the soft and I advise anyone who would like to make a small MetroidVania amateur good and accessible at the same time (at least until the arrival of the patch "hardcore" where the least casus of you will be able to try it without too fear the lack of challenge). Bravo and thanks the artist, continue like this, I already spent a few good hours on your first full game;)
