you came to a forsaken system, abandoned by its former inhabitants decades ago.

there was some information you needed. you landed on a beautiful planet, former home of maybe millions, and proceeded to obtain said information.

you just had to query the systems; there was no need to hack or breach anything, the information was no secret, was not dangerous. it was just something you needed to see for yourself, first hand.

it was quite painful, in fact.

out of curiosity, you run a query about why the inhabitants had fled; there was nothing obviously wrong, after all.

the evacuation AI says that the sun of this system is going supernova in some estimated system date. you look at your datapad, and then it hits you: if this computer is right, the sun is going to blow up in about 4.37 hours from now.

you must escape.

you grab all the information you can, pack your things and run as fast as you can for your ship. if you can attain light speed fast enough. you can escape what they escaped.
