Island 359 reviews and comments

Early Access Review One of the best made VR Games currently available, along with Brookhaven and Job Simulator. In Iceland 359 we are a Soldier who is taken to an Island full of Dinosaurs. Our Job is to survive on this Island. Equipped with Weapons, such as Pistol, Revolver and Uzi for long-distance combat and Knives, Baseball Bats and Axe for Melee combat, we set out to explore the Island. We can, currently (I hope there come even more) be attacked by three different Dinos, the small Compies, Raptors and large Allosaurs. The most Fun thing is when you have the little Compies away with the Baseball Bat, as they can also fly really far. The Graphics are right, and at all times better than many other VR Games. That's pretty accurate, too, and I've experienced it in a lot of other things. All in all, this is a very successful VR Game and I hope, as it is still in Early Access, that more Dinos or weapons, if not Levels, are coming and maybe a Campaign. Currently there is only one Level and you just have to survive there. I can always recommend this Game to anyone who makes it really much Fun and is well done. Early Access Review HTC-Vive Review: The Game is fun. And it is NOT a wave shooter. You are not waiting for wave after wave. You are exploring the Island, the Buildings and Vehicles. Here and there you are confronted with dinosaurs. Thats has nothing to do with wave shooters. Sounds like they started the Arcade mode and thought. Yep thats all. If you like Wave shooters go "Arcade Mode" else do the real thing and start "Mercanary Mode" Raptors: They ARE acting as hunters, not perfect like in RL but they are not just running dumb around, like stated in other comments. If you did not spot them, they are sneaky, you have to concentrate for the little noise they are making if you are in the jungle an you can't see move anything. The T-Rex, i don't know in the tutorial you stood still so the T-Rex did not get any interesst in you. But in the rest of the game. I encountered a T-Rex. Way to close to me. He did not spot me. I did not move anything. He came close to me. He was so close he could have eaten me in just a second. Then he stopped and stared. Stared. Stared. Thats it. He did not attack, but he either did not lose the interest. Until i startet running and shooting. Then he tried to attack. The Sound of the Dinosaurs is very good. Except for Raptors, their cry sounded nothing like in modern Dinosaur movies. Allorsaurus. Hell What a shout. T-Rex too. Graphics are realy good. Yes its not state of the art AAA-Graphics but close enough to call it a very good graphic. Controlls are good. Nothing bad there. Pro: Sound of the Dinosaurs (except Raptor-Shout) Graphics Dinosaurs The Mercenary Style Gameplay. Modding Weapons (Laserpointer, Flashlight, Reflex Visor, Silencer) The weapons. From UZI, through AK47 to Bows. You got a variety of weapons. Desert Eagle Munition Mods Con: Sound of Raptor-Shout T-Rex AI when you are not moving Could have more Dinosaurs. Till know i just spotted huntable Dinosaurs: T-Rex, Allosaurus, Triceratops, Stegosaurus, Raptor, And the small ones. Not Huntable: Brontosaurus (in the tutorial). Could have more (5-6) huntable ones (e.g. Pachycephalosaurus, Flying ones, Spinosaurus, Ankylosaurus) Just pressing Grip Button for Reload. It would be cool if you had to move your hand to your body, like Arizona Sunshine. I would give it a rating of 8,5/10 not perfect. But clearly a recommendation even at 20€. And since it is Eary Access there will be more.
