Jade's Journey reviews

This game is pretty interesting... because it is not. The plot is a pretext, the development of the story consists of going from point A to point B as a Pinball ball and each character joins the group after an unfortunate dialogue. Admittedly, one can ignore the scenario when the game is fine, but then the gameplay is completely picking up. Confront again and again and again the same two groups of monsters in each zone, with zero strategy every time? This is the first time I actively avoided fighting and yet I tested about ~ 40 RPG maker games on steam. What is still quite surprising is that beyond their simplistic graphical appearance the projects under RPG Maker are often for the author the opportunity to express his creativity by freeing himself from the aspect of computer development. And there it is opposite: we find ourselves facing a game as sad as a box of empty sardines, and for long hours of nothingness it comes to wonder... Why design a game without the slightest "fun" in it? Did the beta testers die of boredom before they could scream their pain? Am I dead too, condemned to wander in limbo until I finish my part?..

This game and a Ni. Even if you don't. This first chapter ends in just over 6 hours, little for an RPG. The story concerns Jade who discovers that she is the chosen one, even though she is not convinced at first. After A walk in the woods with his friend, both intent on fighting the creatures of the forest in search of the strongest creature in the forest. The couple will return to the village, discovering that Jade's father has been kidnapped. Who kidnapped him, asks how to ransom two magical spheres that only the chosen one can take. So, she leaves with her friend, looking for these spheres. And here, it starts and ends. The story is all here, with some overly-nebulous plot, which maybe you'll find in the second chapter. The game instead has good ideas but realized against desire. First, the dungeons have only one street, the few junctions that you find will certainly lead you to a chest or to the continued maze, you can not be mistaken. Second: Good idea to show enemies on screen as purple clouds, in case you would like to avoid them. Pity that this is ruined by 2 factors. 1) The protagonist does not run. 2) The clouds instead run the double of the protagonist. ^^; Third: Another Good idea, there are no random fights in the world map, only in the levels. Fourth: Poor equipment, just a couple of stores selling weapons and armor throughout the game. The rest of the most powerful armor is found inside the chests that are in the few levels in which the game is composed. Five: 640x480 in 2016? ^^; Sixthly: The normal fights have no tactics, only: attack attack attack. The only tactics serve only against the bosses, with the Sorceress paralyzes the boss and with the rest of the group you go of special moves. ^_^ Seventh: Once finished there is no way to replay it maybe at a higher level of difficulty. Eighth: Few levels for the 4 euro full price. 1 or 2 euros could be its fair price no more. ^_^ If you want to buy it. Do it for granted, maybe less than 1 euro for both chapters. ^_^
