Jawbreaker

Jawbreaker is a pico-8 game made for LD48/48 compo. It is my first completed game.

The game is about a kid's descend into crime. Getting deeper and deeper in the mafia world of the 1960s.

How to play

You play by progressing through the story, interacting with NPCs and fighting battles. 

Actions are confirmed with X
Equipment is closed with Z/C

Continue action - Continue on to the next event

Talk action - Talk to an NPC
Home action - Go home instead of agreeing to an event

Steal action - Fight and steal money
Equip action - Open your inventory

Fight action - Fight an enemy
Flee action - Run away from a fight

Known bugs:

• game over death screen doesn't reset the game properly
•  inventory system bugs out sometimes, making it impossible to select
