Jerry Mander: The Rise of Fall of the American Dream

How to Play:

1. Candidate Overview

Your name is JERRY MANDER. You are running for POLITICIAN in the year 20XX. 

After several years of service in the military, you have decided to turn your attention to the nation’s BURGEONING POLITICAL SPHERE. Campaigning on a platform centered around POLICIES and PLANS, your ultimate aim is to BAN THE LAW. 

In order to BAN THE LAW, you will first need to curry the favor of the nation’s voters. 

2. Aim of the Game

You are allotted 50 FREEDOM SECONDS to corral RED PARTY members and BLUE PARTY members into districts. At the end of this period, each party member will vote based on their preferences within the district they are in. Each district is worth a specific amount of points, which you will win if your party members outvote the other party. 

You will win the round if you have more points than the other party. 

3. Early Life

Raised in the streets of SMALL TOWN AMERICA, you have a humble demeanor. After the Lamb Cascade of 20XX, your family was forced to relocate, eventually losing your childhood home to WILY TAX COLLECTORS. After being wronged by THE LAW at such a young age, you vowed to never allow THE LAW to be legal again.

You graduated from STATE COLLEGE (the famous one) with a degree in GUN.  Of note are your political leanings, which are purple.

4. Movement

Press WASD or ARROW KEYS to move up, left, down, and right, respectively. JERRY will run.

5. Red Party Overview

The RED PARTY is built upon the ideals of “turning over a USB multiple times before being able to put it in your computer.” They support Asian Fusion restaurants and audiobooks. They do not support pool sharking, or USB-C. Most RED PARTY members have their own podcast. 

The RED PARTY is okay with BANNING THE LAW.

6. Gun

Use the mouse to aim. Left click to fire. JERRY will fire his GUN.

7. Blue Party Overview

The BLUE PARTY is built upon the ideals of “I don’t use adblock because I like to support creators and I don’t mind waiting that long anyways.” They support Inception (2010) and using the word “xerox” to say “photocopy”. They do not support Piñatas at occasions other than birthday parties, or coin collecting. Most BLUE PARTY members are in a band.

The BLUE PARTY is okay with BANNING THE LAW.

8. Spin-Force

Jerry has the unique ability to tap into the mysterious SPIN-FORCE, which he acquiesced to during the Lamb Cascade of 20XX. Each use of the SPIN-FORCE slows the Earth’s rotation by 0.4%. Press O to activate the SPIN-FORCE.
