Intro:

This is one of my earlier unfinished projects from when I was learning Unity. Now working on other things but might revisit in the future. Inspired by Jet Lancer.

Controls:

  • [space] - accelerate
  • [z] - shoot
  • [r] - restart game
  • (not fully implemented) [x] dodge (immune to bullets for the duration), [c] small speed boost

HUD:

  • Health bar (left): shows remaining health out of 5
  • Radar (center): shows player (yellow), allies (green), and enemies (red)
  • Weapon overheat (right): shows amount of ammo consumed; will recharge slowly when not firing.

Gameplay:

  • There is currently no objective other than to stay alive for as long as possible.
  • Enemy planes will spawn in and attempt to follow and shoot down the player with tracking missiles. An enemy plane has to remain "locked on" to the player for a set amount of time before firing a missile.
  • Shoot down enemy planes using [z].

Known Bugs:

  • Due to an issue in the flight physics, the player can build up infinite speed by gliding in a circle.
