Jolly Rover reviews

A very nice and small click and point adventure. It is very reminiscent of Monkey Island, the Humour is also very similar. The Puzzles are very well designed, and if you get stuck you don't have to look for a Complete Solution but can use the Typing Function of the Game (Parrot). But in order to enjoy the Game properly, you have to be powerful in the English Language, because there is no German Language edition or Subtitles. If that doesn't bother, I recommend this Indie game.

Jolly Rover is a lovingly designed point of Click adventure in the Tradition of Monkey Island. The Characters are very well designed and the Story is not particularly original but entertaining. Jolly Rover offers many Things that don't seem to be standard today: There's an integrated hot spot display and an integrated Complete Solution, two very useful Functionalities. However, The Puzzles can be solved almost exclusively by Logic, so the Comfort Functions rarely or not at all need to be used.

Jolly Rover, the nice little Point ' n ' click adventure for In Between. Based on the Classic "Monkey Island," Jolly Rover offers a story at least as funny as it is interwoven. You are the naïve Jolly Rover who is ambushed by Pirates on a Merchant drive and quickly make his Enemies friends. To.... These expose you to a Cania Island, hope that you will be eaten and that only with your naïve creativity will you have to find a Way out of lonely Islands, through cave Systems, through dark Forests and through Volcanoes. All Things Sound good ... Very elaborate and in love with detail, but of course no Comparison to the great "Role model," Monkey Island. For that, I find that the whole thing with Dogs is much wittier and the Soundtrack is incredibly atmospheric. Meanwhile, with Jolly Rover, it's arguably a closer Friend than it is Guybrush:)

He came, he saw, he yarrred! A very nicely made pirate adventure, where all the Protagonists are Dogs. The Drawings and graphic style of the Game are very beautiful and the Pirate scenario is also very well implemented. Part of it seems as if we have landed in a Parallel Universe to another well-known Adventure, because there are not only Pirates but also Undead and the Vodoo magic known to us, all just with. In many Situations you are also made to Laugh or Smile here and there is also one or the other Dog joke. Furthermore, the Game also contains Collection features, so you can collect Parts of Pirate flags, Coins and Crackers that delight our annoying Helper Parrot Juan In each Scene. This results in a higher Score and a higher Pirate rank. Verdict: The Game is worth it for any pirate fan, Dog Lover, Monkey Island devotee or simply for anyone who loves a good Adventure.
