JPN Burst

JPN Burst is an introductory game to Japanese. In the game, you must learn and type the presented Japanese characters to proceed.

Japanese Writing System

The Japanese writing system is composed of Hiragana, Katakana, and Kanji. Instead of A to Z, Hiragana letters range from あ (a) to ん (n). Katakana will also range from ア (a) to ン (n). You will use the English equivalent (Romaji) to type these letters. Fun Fact: Most Japanese people use the same QWERTY keyboards as everyone else.

• Typing Action! Your enemies are flashcards and your keypresses are lethal. Annihilate the thousands of flashcards with your typing prowess.
  
• In-Game Help! If you are stuck on remembering a certain kana, have no fear. You can use the in-game tools to get hints and answers. Or you could just mash your keyboard.
  
• Re-Playable Lessons! If you need to go back and review, you don’t have to backtrack to another part of the world map. All lessons are available through the menu.
  
• No Pressure Mode! If you feel like the challenges are too hard, you can take your time in No Pressure mode, where there are no time limits.

JPN Burst will not cover stroke order, grammar, and Kanji at this time.
