Kid Billy Saves The Year

Kid Billy Saves The Year is a shoot-em-up game in which you must shoot a dangerous virus in order to protect your city and most importantly: SAVE THE NEW YEAR.

This game is my entry for Zayn's New Year Game Jam 2022.

DISCLAIMER: All development (including sound design, graphics, and coding) was done exclusively during the game jam time period and entirely by myself. No external or premade assets were being used!

Controls:

A, D / Left, Right: Move

W, S / Up,  Down: Navigate through the menu

SPACE: shoot and confirm

ESCAPE:  return to title / End game

Gameplay:

The objective is easy: don't get hit by the cars or the virus! Try to reach the highest possible highscore by only shooting the virus! Accidentally hitting the cars will cost you points!

     Firework Box: Wipes all the virus off the street!

     Super Rockets: Never hit cars and even have a chance of following the virus - free points almost guaranteed!
