King Arthur-Fallen Champions https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1551160147 POSITIVES + Celtic, ancient Setting + first Fog and Clouds pulling across the Country + beautiful Lighting effects on the gloomy map + very atmospheric Soundtracks (but basically the same as in its Predecessor) + three-dimensional, topographical 3D map of England + complete in German + Total-War-like, strategic Combat System (see but also under Negatives) + Units can run, but then exhaust Faster + Game speed can be increased + Formations with different Bonuses and Mali + Terrain Types have an Impact on the Battle: In Forests units are camouflaged, in Swamps the Speed drops considerably, and also otherwise units are in the Different Terrain stronger or weaker + Heroes can ascend, get new Skills and be equipped with Artifacts (as usual) + Decisions that need to be made in Pen & Paper similar text-based solo adventures + unique Locations on Giving the Battlefield the extra Spells and, more recently, troops, and are therefore conspicuously decisive Https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1551160506 NEGATIVES-incredibly poor performance, making it easy on the Map, and in Battles Jerks like in Game hell (and this on current Computers)-only three Heroes instead of a whole Round of Tables full of Knights-of attributes there are only two left: Fight and Magic-Adventures (Quests) seem like being stacked together and don't read credibly-one No longer experiences a Kind of story of its own, but works the 10 Episoden/missions-3D battles are more unspectacular than at TW-own Banner may not be selected again, but is predefined-Chaotic Troop Lumps in Melee combat- Camera Control in Battles is too slow-annoying Loading times-no more morality graph like in the Previous one-no more resources-no more building construction as there are no more Fortresses-Strategieteil Basically no longer exists-game Crashes (Runtime Error!) https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1551160446 FAZIT Fallen Champions of 2011, which came out a Year after King Arthur I, links Part I and Part II, doing pretty much everything wrong. You play the Stories of three Heroes: Knight Sire Lionel, the unseamelieb Sidhe Lady Corrigan, or The Dev of the Chosen Shaman of the Picts (you can re-choose with who it continues after each Episode). That might sound good at first, but before that you had a whole Dozen Heroes (Knights of the Round Table) who could be steered over the Map and play as you wanted. Now one is also limited to the aforementioned Hansel. The Game no longer distinguishes in Rounds or Seasons, but in 10 Episodes (!) that consist only of one Adventure and one Battle. The Adventures are told in the Form of interactive Short Stories, which then always (!) lead to a Battle. While in King Arthur I you could still decide for yourself when and if you are going to approach a Quest, you no longer have any Freedom of Action here. After each Episode you can also determine with which of the three Heroes you continue the Game, but the whole thing just seems too set up. Before each Battle, heroes get skill and Skill points to increase and Artifacts that have been captured before. The Leveling of Heroes, however, seems static and boosting Troops is now also History. The Map may look better now, but it jerks with today's screen Resolutions-just like the Battles. Even with massively downgraded Graphics Options, no liquid Play was possible. And at the latest, that breaks the Game's Neck. Anyone who was thrilled with King Arthur I will be disappointed here. Unlike King Arthur I, which I can only recommend, it gives me a clear Thumbs down for Fallen Champions. If you are interested in further Reviews of me, follow my Group.
