King Sitting
About
King Sitting is a prototype that I made in under two weeks as a part of my Masters 2nd semester at the Heriot Watt University of Edinburgh.
I created this prototype undert the theme "Pathfinding". The game Dofus is definitely my main source of inspiration for this one.
GameplayKing sitting is a turned based strategy game.
As the player you control a unit of 3 soldiers on a grid-based map and your goal is to protect the king at its very center from the endless waves of goblins.
Each soldier can move accross a defined number of tile each turn, and either shoot a target or build nearby. A target can either be a monster you need to kill, or a resource. In fact, there's trees and boulders on the map that each soldier can shoot down to gather materials used to build.
You can choose to build from a set of structures:
- Barricade: Acts as a wall, destructible.
- Trap: Stops the unit walking on it from going any further during its turn, 1 time usage.
- Turret: Spawns a new unit that can shoot every turn (controlled by the player).
You'll need to find the best possible defense strategies in order to survive !
