Completed as of writing this review: Base Game.
This is my first Kirby game in the series that I decided to beat and I'm pretty satisfied with the result. I'll admit, after a lot of indies and other hard platformers, Kirby at times felt too easy and too barren. Basically the stuff you can miss is right on the nose and the only solution is to restart or lose a life in order to collect it. Perhaps this is because I was playing with my friend and in multiplayer the boss battles are really a breeze (we got no game over at all). The presentation is top-notch, really cool to see such art-style work in Wii days, just like Super Mario Galaxy. Nintendo knows how to impress their audience and this game is no different.
I'd recommend to play it mostly if you want a relaxing game in your backlog. Yes, there are challenges, but they are purely optional, so I would not count them as difficulty spikes in the Base Game. A really good game to start on by the way!
