L.A. Noire: The VR Case Files reviews

L.A. Noire is a lot of Fun for me with the HTC VIVE and the Port into a VR Game Rockstar has succeeded well. The Graphics are good, the Sound Is good, the gun handling is very good, the Performance is great (i5 6600k, gtx980ti, 16gb ddr4, win10) and driving Is great implemented. Therefore, there is a Buy recommendation from me. However, there is 1 Point Deduction for it that the Game only works with the Vive (hurts the very small VR Market anyway) and for the many short Interruptions that disturb the Immersion somewhat. Who, like me, thought there was no "free locomotion," that's it said: Free locomotiom is possible, if the Movement in the Game is put on "Automatic"!!! It was only a head-controlled free Movement, but at least it exists. EDIT: Most Of the Problene have been fixed by a Patch, so it is Upgraded to 9 Points. Thank you Rockstar! Points 9/10

With L.A. Noire, Rockstar has released a neat VR port of her Classicist. The Control is easy after a short Part of the system, free Loco (albeit very slowly) and Teleport can be combined. Rockstar has noticeably focused On VR beginners when Moving. For example, the Colision Query repeatedly makes a black Screen appear. (Fixed with update) Unfortunately, the Direction of running is only Dictated by the Direction of view, i.e. you can't look sideways and run straight ahead. But it Is a pity that a controller-assisted Direction of movement would be beautiful. Now integrated. You can catch up to pretty much any Item, if only a few really help. Interacting with the Notebook is very intuitive and you can even scribble around with the Bleaching Pen in the Book. If the Character sits down in the Game, you have the Opportunity to do it as well. For example, during Interrogations at The Table. But that's especially cool when Driving. Driving Is a Special Highlight of the Game anyway. You really sit in the old Car, have to turn the Ignition key And steer yourself. (You can also warm up by Speed trip). The Map is big and you can actually go anywhere. Even the small Crimes you know from the Flat Screen name Are in the VR Port. So You can cruise around the City and hunt down Criminals with the Help of Police radio. The Graphics are very good. The Faces are superbly animated (just like the Flat Version) and it's Fun to talk to People or scroll around with your Colleague. You feel very much in History, despite the smaller Flaws in Control.
