Product received for free There was a time when I really liked to make my videos from others, and I had time to do it. Converting format, resolution, DVD authoring, all done with the best software in circulation, mostly free, such as VirtualDub, TMPGEnc, AutoGK, etc. Although I generally like to work the material completely independently, it is obvious that some parts of authoring are rather complex and delicate, and would require years of experience and testing, so for certain things, I relied on software made by experts who They used other software silently, the best for each category as their own VirtualDub, to create an end result as much as possible similar to the result obtainable by skilled hands, only in an automatic way. The aforementioned AutoGK, for example, is just one of these "packages", a great software with which it was possible, in a few clicks, convert an entire DVD-Video to one or more XviD movies, which then could be in simple CDS. Alone analyzed the movie and tried to set in a completely automatic resolution and compression parameters, in order to have a final result of the chosen size and the highest possible quality, without having to learn what are the Quantization Matrices and other complex parameters, using the best open software available for each single step (such as BLADES for MP3 compression). Today the needs have changed, and I use tool for conversion and compression in H.264 or 265, but always taken from that well of knowledge of the forum doom9.org. Software such as RipBot264, VidCoder and MakeMKV are just a few examples of projects initiated by community of passionate video editing users who have now reached levels from commercial software. If you have to do something different, however, as what this Liquivid does, the choice could be more complex and, in many cases, only commercial (and at cost anything but reasonable, unless you are professional). Liquivid looks just like one of those projects initiated by video editing experts who have decided to create software based on well-known and appreciated projects in this field. Although for the interface uses Java, for all the rest of the background work This software uses components such as FFmpeg and OpenCV, which makes it possible to exploit 64-bit and multi-threading CPUs. You see that the developers are passionate. The software is constantly updated, the developers (or THE developer?) answer every question in the Steam forum, and the cost of the package is reasonable, provided that the functions offered are the ones you need. In their site you can download a demo, and if you have a special need just ask the developers if this software is able to satisfy. Although I have not used this software that much (I do not have a GoPro and for now I do not need the functions of this software), it seems done well and quite simple to use, and the features advertised seem to work pretty well, according to the others Users. Obviously do not expect Sony Vegas, because the price is on another planet, but probably with Liquivid you will have access to all the functions that most people need without faunging too much, and with the consequence that, having fewer functions, Liquivid is Even easier to learn and use. My positive vote is therefore related to the fact that Liquivid uses high-quality software for encoding and other functions, and developers are active and present with users, which no professional software can give you. If you need to make some homemade production of your video made with camcorder or mobile phone, this Liquivid could be the solution all in one simpler and cheaper.
