Lost In Japan (LostInJapan)

Story

The story of the game resolves around Shawn and his journey to escape from the house where he is kept captive. All that is known is that Shawn was kidnaped and brought to a terrifying old Japanese house in the middle of nowhere. His only goal is to survive and escape the house to end this unimaginable nightmare. As the story develops Shawn starts to question if there is something more to this house, he can’t help but to get this horrible feeling that something is really wrong in that place, something unholy happened there and maybe still hasn’t left…

Gameplay

LostInJapan is an escape room game mixed with suspense and a just the right amount of horror. The environment is very creepy with a soundtrack that focus on natural sounds and scary mysterious music. The main objective of the player is to escape the house by going through each room and figuring out the unique and complex puzzles of each level. The resources are limited and therefore the player has to find creative ways to make the most with what he can find and examine. Besides the interesting puzzles, the player is also pressured by the fear of not being alone creating an urge to solve the puzzles as fast as possible. Lastly, there is no need to worry about getting stuck, there are several clues in each level to help the player figure out the puzzles on his own.
