First Of all: This Review does not contain Any Spoilers.
If you don't have a time/, just scroll down to The conclusion:)
The Game: You play a little Robot and explore his//a World.
Sounds boring, but it's not. If you leave out a few minor Mistakes, (more on that below) it's a really nice melancholy adventure. You collect Items and combine them with machine/Devices to use them, and then get on with them. That, in Principle, is the Procedure. Plus there are a few Opponents, Shock Moments and an extremely deep Story. You don't have an Inventory, the small one can carry 2 Items at the same Time (left and right Hand). You also have Skills, for example a Lightning Strike. It is there to give energy To certain Devices again.
Since you did not have a Tutorial At the Time of the Test (18.7.2018), it may be difficult to get on. There are small colored Mushrooms that you can use if you don't know any more.
The Atmosphere: Pretty "deep." You have a pretty deep Soundtrack and a lot of "empty" and strongly melancholy.
The Soundtrack seemed a little repetitive To me over time but that's "ok," considering the Developer was virtually alone.
The Story: That's the Pivot and Angel Point of the Game. It plays with Feelings, Fears and has good innovative Ideas.
So I don't want to give too much away, because for me personally, everything that "happens" after 2-3 Hours is a Spoiler.
One can basically say that in the midst of an unknown World, one "awakens" as a robot. The World is slowly but progressively infected with a Type of Virus, the Peculiarity of the Virus is that it also infects robots. So We should take care of getting this Virus under Control, to do that we have to learn a lot about the current World and use it for ourselves. There are also Moments when we are prevented from Advving, these "Figures" also have a deeper Meaning.
So As a small Robot, we have to save the World from a nasty Virus, right? Or is it not a question of a Virus (...)?
The Controls and Mechanics: Unfortunately, I have to complain a little. The Camera is a little spongy and pulls behind, which unfortunately (until now) you can't change. Sometimes it makes it harder to Look Around or Move.
The Robot also runs and jumps a little offset and you can quickly get stuck on Edges.
If you turn "into" an Object when Turning the Camera, it may be that massive Graphics Errors occur.
Here and there, a few visual And text-based translation Errors, but that, by and large, is Not worth the Talking about.
The Duration of The game: I think the Game can be played in under 4-5 Hours. But Is just a Guess. For me, the Playing Time is completely fine and it feels really good. Absolutely reasonable to The Price.
-Conclusion: An innovative Adventure. If you liked Machinarium, then you will have a lot of Fun with this somewhat "stripped-down" Version and have a wonderful Adventure. Price and Performance is absolutely fine, for a "a man" company a good Performance and I want to support with a Buy recommendation.
I Would also like to emphasise the audio/text translation in several Languages in a positive way for the Size of the Developer.
