A beautiful Game that stands in the Tradition of old vertically scrolling Amiga shooters. The Graphics are handmade and look correspondingly good. The Game Mechanics are good and balanced and the Level Design appropriately varied. The Soundtrack pulls in properly and tunes in very well to what Is happening on the Screen. A fine Game for In Between, which is not too expensive either.

M.A.C.E. caught my eye by its rather pretty graphic aspect, which prompted me to buy the game but I unfortunately quickly disenchanted. The game is soft, very soft. The shots are slow, the levels terribly long and boring and the whole lacks personality and animations. There are many levels to do what could have been a positive point but let's be honest, no one or few people will go all the way. + It's pretty-it's long it's slow

Unfortunately the game is not so good and still unpolished (f.e. no visible feedback at all when your ship gets hit, no decent player ship explosion when you die etc.). Graphics is colorful and 60fps smooth and background music is decent IMHO, but there is nothing "cool" that pushes you further and game design is just average... but at least price is cheap and honest. Still love SWIV, Xenon II, Battle Squadron on the Amiga, that are better than this. There are also better arcade shoot 'em ups on Steam... 6/10 (Jul 2017)

Mace... a shoot them up that could have been great! the +:-quality graphics-nice atmosphere-background music rather successful the-:-that's boring! -Soporific gameplay-okay it's oldschool, but its not mean that it's boring oldschool...-no or little challenge-and what is it slow! Slow! and boring... Conclusion: MACE was developed with talent and rigor not two passionate creators, its feels, but eh guys! a game is made to play, to have fun, to steam, to take its foot what! We have to loosen up! because it's really soft! No hard feelings...

M.A.C.E. is an indie game shoot Em up, the view looks great, we have at our fingertips various powers such as laser, bombs, etc., we also have a shield and improvements. But It is very boring, the screen is too slow, so you can be 10 minutes in each level, does not have an introduction or a history of why we should do such a mission. During The battles if you touch the enemy you can eliminate even carrying the shield and the full health bar with a touch. Not to mention the end. The Three bosses are too easy to be compared to the levels we have to pass. Grab it on a juicy offer if you like ships games, if not, pass by.
