MAGNUS: Marble Mayhem

MAGNUS: Marble Mayhem is a bizarre hybrid of Monkey Ball, Quake, and Trackmania, with a pinch of Fall Guys in the mix.  Race and battle your friends to find the true spherical hero!

Made by myself and a couple of friends for 7dfps 2021

Credit to Kenney.nl for the gun models, and to like a million guys on freesound.org who put microphones in odd situations

Controls:

• WASDQE to spin your marble
• SPACE to jump
• SHIFT to brake
• SCROLL or NUMBER KEYS to Select Weapon
• MOUSE to Aim and Shoot
• R to reset to checkpoint

Multiplayer:

When you start a game, the network host is started automatically on port 7777.  You must ensure that MAGNUS can get through Windows firewall in order for other players to connect (the easiest way to do this is to just turn the thing off, the smarter way comes up pretty quick with the search term "Allow an App or Feature Through Windows Firewall").  From there, to play on LAN, players can Join from the main menu with the appropriate local ip (192.168.something.something), or if you forward port 7777 then players can join using your external ip address.
