More Reviews are available on my Curator Page Fairy Tales Forest is divided into two Sub-games. In the first Act, Mylne, the Protagonist, examines the surrounding Forest and seeks Ingredients for her Grandfather's Alchemy experiments. Three Potions need to be Brewed with a growing Number of Ingredients. In order to preserve the Ingredients, you have to find Things on the one hand and interact with the forest Dwellers on the Other. Finally, if you have brewed the third Potion, the actual Game begins. In the Forest a Cave opens and Mylne goes in search of her Mother, who also went to the Cave. The Game becomes a Dungeon Crawler here. It is important to pass through the different Levels of the Dungeon. Each Level has its own Gimmick in the process, they all play each of each another. On the side, unidentified Items are collected, which can be examined in the Entrance. Some Items bring Money in Sale, others are equipment. At the End of each Level, a Boss waits to be knocked over. These are again stronger than the normal Opponents of which there are two Types per Level. When Hiking in the Plains, you consume food that represents endurance. If it's all, you consume HP. However, there are more than enough Items to replenish. Gameplay The Combat System is a 1vs1 Fight and plays as AN ATB System. If you are allowed to take an Action, you can do it directly and there is no Waiting Time. The Same applies to the Opponent. So Actions should be well timed. As Actions you have Attack, Block and Dodge. Blocking and Dodging are absolutely essential as they decide the Fight. The normal Attack is only needed in the first Levels and a few Spots in Boss Battles. When Dodging, Mylne dodges attacks for a Second (there are inescapable Ones that need to be blocked). When Blocking, it blocks 60% of the Damage for two Seconds. And then there's parry that. When the Enemy executes a parable Attack, he flashes up briefly and you have to Block in that short Moment. After a successful Parade, the Opponent is briefly paralyzed and you can use either a Special Attack or an Item. And it is absolutely necessary from Level two to have perfected this. The Leaps Of Silence between the Planes are gigantic. Whoever defeats the Boss of a Plane is broken down at the Beginning of the next Level by the first Randomencounter Until you have the Attack Patterns on it. The normal Attack does not bring anything in Level two, you need the Special Attack (it is best to keep the Ability To Sustain your Life, this is also necessary later). And so you fight your way through the Planes and you have to keep learning The Enemy Attacks in order not to die with every Opponent. At Death, you lose all unidentified Items and are returned to the Beginning of the Dungeon. You can only leave the Dungeon after a Plane, by Item or by means of The Necrotaxis, otherwise you can't. However, there are Checkpoints, so you don't always have to repeat the whole Level. Graphic The Graphic is very simple Polygon Graphics and is not much better than Leek graphics of the PS2. The 2D Artworks are cute and well drawn. The Graphics are not a Highlight of the Game, but it also doesn't take anything away from the Fun Of the Game. Sound Even with sound, there is nothing Special about the Sound. Sound Effects are simple. Only the Effects of Selecting an Action are absolutely terrible. A very high and loud Tone. This one cannot be switched off and hurts in the Ears. But It is covered by the Fighting Sounds in later Fights, so that one no longer perceives him so much. Verdict Fairytale Forest is a nice little Game. The first Part is charming and witty, the second Part brutally hard when you have Problems with Timing. But it is a lot of Fun to fight your way through the Dungeon, but you should be careful, because a Mistake likes to Mean death and thus the Loss of important Items. A slightly higher Fruit tolerance Is therefore important. All in all, a good Game. A Recommendation from me.
