MAVERICK (itch)

This game was created under 48 hours for the GMTK Game Jam 2017! 

We focused on dual purpose design through elements of gameplay and traditional UI elements.

Cars serve as an obstacle or guard.
Destroying enemies with melee both damages enemies and gains more ammo.
Brief key control guide serves as tutorial, pause mechanic, and readying mechanic.

In the future, advanced infrastructure has connected the entire world. An intercontinental highway spans the globe.

However, non-autonomous vehicles have been banned.

The crime of being behind the wheel is punishable by death.

The resistance fights against this injustice.

You are assigned to the Maverick, a prototype motorbike that is immune to EMP, hacking, and wireless tracking.

Ride to other rebel bases and drop off Maverick blueprints...

...and secure a future in which humans are free to ride.
