Metal Fatigue reviews

Matal Fatigue is back! And what can I say, it's just like back then. Literally-because except that the Game runs on current Operating Systems, absolutely nothing has been changed. This in itself is not disturbing, except at the Point of Resolution, here, unfortunately, already a whole Corner below Full HD the Flagpole is over. Accordingly, the Game does not look particularly good either, as everything is extremely pixelated and also, for example, the construction and Unit Menus so small That you can hardly read anything. Here, at least, this HD solution would have been desirable. It's all the Same and that's a good thing on the Whole. There are three Factions that differ in parts for their Combots (so are the big Mechs here): Rimtech is balanced, Mil-Agro is trimmed to Damage and neglects the Defensive and Neuropa has installed Alien technology and thus relies on light, Moderne/experimental Parts (E.g. Electric Shock Arm) as well as on hit and run tactics. Thus, in the selection assembly of the Combots (2 Arms each, one Torso, one Set of legs), the Factions play slightly differently. What is special is the Chance to sever parts off enemy Combots in Combat. This can then be collected and, if necessary, explored in order to be able to build these Parts of the foreign Fraction yourself for the duration of the Match. Equally more important is the Level system. There are three Layers of Battle Here. In addition to the normal Battles on the Surface, there is also the Orbit (floating Islets) and the Subsoil. While the Orbit Combots can fly up with appropriate Equipment, only the Small Units such as Tanks and Rocket Trucks are allowed underground. Here, for me, the biggest Problem of the Game can be found: As Long as the Opponent still has a Construction Vehicle, the Match is not over. So If you want to go out underground with such a thing, you can go looking With 0815 units, while the cool, heavily armed Combots on the Surface stand their Legs in their Bellies. That's stupid. Conclusion: Although MF is not a special Game overall, the Combots and their different, faction-bound parts tear it out and make it somehow unique. Sure, the Whole thing doesn't look particularly pretty, but MF doesn't want THAT either. Is explicitly NOT a Reaster or Remake, only an old Game that is finally ready To play again. And for €5 you can do nothing wrong. Therefore, I am a Recommendation from me, but I am of course partisan as a Fan of the ancient CD version (including cool Paper manual) and have long hoped for this Re-release. Now it is only to be hoped that anyone will make a Continuation with the current State of The art ...
