Note at the Beginning: The Game runs impeccably on Windows 7. Midnight Club II was THE racing Game of my Childhood. Back then super Graphics, extremely versatile and matching Soundtrack from rap to Acid and Techno, three open Cities that remain completely open even during regular Races and don't set Routes (as handled in Need for Speed, for example) and an extremely high Difficulty that is also customizable (Cheatcode: howhardcanitbeX X = Number 0 to 9) Every single Race of career mode was a Fight that my elementary school student I really wanted to win in order to unlock the next car.
Even today, 13 Years later, I still play the Game occasionally and have as much Fun as I did back then.
The Resolution is customizable to all Monitors and the Graphics are fully clear, even today.
The arcadian Gameplay is really Fun for Me personally, just like exploring the Cities and spontaneously Finding And Taking advantage of Ablications and Jumps, in order to achieve victory.
The Soundtrack is still the best I've ever heard in a Racing Game, especially since I'm also more Of a friend of electronic Music and NFS rock goes to the Biscuit.
The ingame racing editor allows you to plan your own checkpoint races across the City and compete with AI opponents or Online-either with PowerUps, as you know them from Mario Kart or Blur.
Unrestricted Purchase recommendation!

Best Gameplay, Best Feeling, Best Wagon, best Rival, Best Soundtrack, Best racing Game.
The Story is that you want to become one of the best Racers in the World ... And that's what it's been. But It Is perfect.
Surpasses any doomed other Racing Game by far from the Epicness. First the Game starts harmlessly and you drive in L.A against a few Characters who look like they're coming straight out of GTA. By the Way, there's a bit of a Hip hop playing. This is the Part to appeal to the general Public and serves more as a Tutorial for what is actually in the Offing. What comes after this 1/4 of the Game, though, is just Art. You go against any stereotypical Characters that will remain Nostalgic for me forever on really demanding Tracks and play really divine Soundtrack.
Without Shit!! The Soundtrack is so good in this Game that I believe Rockstargames has been eating decades just looking for good Soundtracks, a lot of Passion and Love has really been put into these Tracks and it comes across as the Artists knew exactly that At SOME point MC2 comes along and their Tracks fit into the Game.
It goes away from this GTA Ghetto style as I said after about about 1/4 of the Game and becomes more and more nasty and sadistic. The Adrenaline Level is also increasing. In short: This is probably one of the fastest and heaviest Racing Games you will ever play. All the More, victory feels satisfying in the End.
Ignores all The Plaster Lobes howling with: "The Game is unfair mimimi" They just don't have staying Power. I really want Rockstargames to take a Break from GTA first and would rather sit down again for the Game 1:1 Remaken.
Here's a Taste Of which great Soundtrack you'll be on the road in other Places around the World later:)

Leave the nostalgia just where it is. I understand that back in years this game was awesome and you want to feel this fun once again but don’t. It will destroy your best memories and that’s all.
This game is very creative and variety-rich. LA, Paris and Tokyo are done gorgeous and full of different routes to explore. The characters are interesting too. I liked how the game becomes more difficult the further you go. Surrounded by a great soundtrack it feels even better. And if you hate the game for the controls, driving physics, lack of customisation and something else - it’s your right. But this game isn’t meant to be as deep as you want it to be. Just keep that in mind.
