Midnight Star (itch)

Midnight Star is a Game Boy-styled action RPG that was made for GameBoy Jam 7.

The objective of the game is to retrieve the stolen magical gem, the 'Midnight Star,' which has been stolen by the evil mage Urgad!

To help you achieve your objective there are six items scattered around Haven for you to find. These items will help you so far, but you will also need to grow in experience to be strong enough for the challenges ahead.

Game Boy Controls (see further for Keyboard/Gamepad equivalents):

Directions to move

'Confirm' button to attack, talk, interact, or confirm in menus

'Select' button to open status menu

'Cancel' button to exit status menu

'Start' button to pause

Keyboard Controls:

WASD or Arrows to move.

X or K to confirm

C or L to cancel

Enter to Start

Space to Select

Gamepad Controls (described as XBox controller below):

D-Pad to move.

Button A to confirm

Button B to cancel

Back button to Select

Gameplay Tips

- You have 70% strength at night and in dungeons, so be careful in fights at these times.

- Use wells to restore all your health.

- Be aware in which direction an enemy is facing, if you're too close you'll get hit.
