Minesweeper, but with Powerups
About
This functions like Minesweeper, with a couple distinctions:
- Difficulty is determined by spaces-per-mine, which is a more accurate way to determine difficulty in differently-sized boards. Note that you can still see the number of mines before playing, and the first 3 difficulties match those seen in most Minesweeper games.
- There are optional powerups! If turned on, there's a small chance you will get a powerup point whenever a non-mine tile is revealed. This chance increases slightly with more difficult spaces-per-mine settings. Powerup points can be spent by clicking the icons to the right of the face button when playing, and only if you have enough (points are in yellow text). You can cancel a selection by clicking the icon a second time. Powerups mostly just help uncover spaces for free, which can be a godsend on harder modes.
- There is a description bar at the bottom of the game at all times to have helpful tips.
v0.9:
- Question mark legacy feature not yet included.
- Planned "Grace Undo Button" not yet included.
- Chording IS included (Minesweeper pros know what this does)
- Two visual skins -- one is the more peaceful "don't step on flowers"
- Might have bugs (let me know!)
Upcoming in v1.0:
- Incorrect flags will be properly marked as such when a game is lost
- Question mark feature
- Powerup canceling will be made more obvious
- Bugfix - Face button switches skin upon mouse exit after skin changed to Flowers
