Minor, Miner, Ol' Timer

In the 1880s Coal Mining transformed the nation when it overtook wood as the primary fuel source in the United States. The life expectancy of a coal miner in West Virginia was only 50-60 years old, with many dying much younger from the dangers from mining. 

TO PLAY: Tap (or Space) to begin your life in the Mining Town and try to live to become an Ol' Timer. Tap the button to nudge your miner, but don't tap too much or you will cause a CAVE IN!
