Monkey Island 2 Special Edition: LeChuck’s Revenge reviews

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Game: Monkey Island 2, a Clock rock Of the Point & Click Adventure genre from LucasArts. A Game for Beginners to Pro and for big and small. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Single Player: You play Guybrush Threepwood, who is now a Pirate and molestes everyone with his Story from Part 1. Now he wants to find a Treasure Name "Big Whoop," but since a Fiesling (formerly the right Hand of LeChuck) does not let anyone off the Island have to eliminate it somehow and then the Fiesling awakens LeChuck to life. LeChuck, of course, wants to take Revenge and find the Treasure himself and tries to stop you. On the whole there are three Islands that are equipped with Quest, you start a Quest on Island A and then you have to find the Solution mostly on the other Islands. So You travel from A to B to C at a fast speed all the Time. The Puzzles are mostly logical, but sometimes you just don't come up with the simplest Things. But there is a very good Help Function for this in the Special Edition (some may also know it from Broken Sword/Baphomet'S Curse) it is not said the Solution but helped or given a few Food For thought. But sometimes, despite the Help, there was no progress. What could then only be done with Online Tips or try by Stump, which then rather Caused frustration. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Graphics: The Graphics are very beautiful (in both Versions), the Graphics are just as much in the Special Edition as in the first Part in the Original Version there is already a Difference from the Original first Part. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Music: The Music is Super (in both Versions), and always very suitable for The Location. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Control: The Control is very good, in the Special Edition no better than in Part 1.------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------Pro/Contra: + Good Graphic + German translation + good English Language speech + very good Help function + Versions to switch Ingame at The Touch of a button + audio comments of the Developers (with Subtitles)-Original Version only English Text-Menu must be called by Button-No Cursor lock-map a Bit confusing-some Puzzles somewhat illogical-many Useless Items and Garbage in the Inventory you don't need or can put down------------------------------------------------------------------ ----------------------------------Conclusion: It really is a very good Continuation that, but does not get to Part 1. There are more of all, but it sometimes seems a bit confusing what exactly to do now. The Story is told really well and the Characters are made very beautiful and individual as in Part 1. The Graphics style has been captured here better than in Part 1, which makes it look really nice. Nevertheless, the Frustration Moments often annoy when you just can't get any further even though, according to Ingame, Help and Online Complete Solution have been done everything. Like, for example, at the End, you should give LeChuck a Handkerchief, but that just doesn't work out. Ingame Help says "Give LeChuck the Handkerchief" and Complete Solutions online too, but what doesn't stand anywhere is that you had a voodoo list before about 8h, which you certainly read more than 1x have to read again to hand over the Handkerchief. Something like that really only annoys, especially if the whole Inventory is full of Garbage Items that you don't need and can't put down. But If you can look past the small Points, you certainly won't get it wrong with the Special Version. For 9.99€ I wouldn't have bought it but if you can pick it up for 75%, you should risk a Look.
