Monster Purgatory

Description

You are a lost soul that has wondered into a strange rift filled with portals and monsters. Your goal is to defeat the monsters and use their souls to your advantage and find a way to escape.

Controls

• Movement: -- WASD or Up, Down, Left, Right
• Shoot -- Left Mouse Button
• Abilities: -- 1 or 2 depending on ability (follow HUD indicators)
• Pause/Controls: -- P

Hints

To prevent confusion of game mechanics, I'll include some hints just in case (realized a bit too late that some mechanics might not be particularly obvious). 

•  Souls obtained from defeating monsters can be used to activate abilities which will add on a new attack type to your main shooting attack (they will light up when enough souls are available).
• If you have enough souls when you die, you will respawn.
• If you go near a blue heart shaped object, souls will automatically be traded for health.
• If you go near a blue portal, souls will automatically be traded to progressively open the portal. Different portals will have different soul requirements.
